Toss was won by Fraserburgh, who chose to field.

The Broch won the toss and invited us to bat on a glorious sunny day.Apart from one over when Bowser hit 3 successive fours off Gareth Symon the Broch openers bowled well but as usual we contributed to our own downfall and lost wickets cheaply. Ross and Ed rallied things with a partnership and Ed found a bit of form before his regular LBW dismisal... with rare LBW agreement from Ed !!! The Tail chiped in with 20 or so runs ... a massive contribution by PCC standards, and we finished as usual according to Grant "twenty runs short".
The Broch looked understrength with a potentially long and very young tail but with Ironside and Oldham they remained capable of doing us. However the 4 bowlers used bowled aggresively and accurately with the off stump getting some hammer from Saj and Mash. The defining moment was when Oldham top edged the worst ball of Nibi's spell to Andy.
Recently Fraserburgh have thought PCC was their bunny. Saturday went a long way to put that right.
Congratulations to young Ross of Fraserburgh (the youngest bowler on Saturday) who has been selected for Scotland U15 - Alan Rennie's work with the juniors is paying off ....pity he eats so many of them.
