Crathie crushed

Crathie took the field following another toss being won and some good bowling on a user friendly track by Dodsy and Grant was backed up by a solid catching performance and Crathie were realing on 22 -4 after 14 overs .The change to Mashook and Sajid brought no respite with Mashhok picking up two and Saj one wicket .Craig and Paul bowled well with no success but Sean contributed with a wicket and a smart run out combo with Simon . Some stubborn last wicket resistance was ended with Grants recall. Crathies total of 62 featured only 38 runs off the bat and only one 4 .17 wides were called by Crathie umpires and they were the the top scorer for the home side.

A chance to give non bowlers a punt up the order backfired slightly with Bowser and Bob departing early. Andy again looked in good nick and his departure on 20 was a bit of a surprise . Brett ,having hit one massive six and Mashook perished on a pitch that still offered something for the bowler and we had our usual mid order wobble but a very mature innings by Sajid took us safely over the line . Our umpires saved their vocal cords and avoided arm strain by calling only 2 wides . One day we will get stuffed by our "fairness" .
